Ra Uru Hu, born Robert Allan Krakower, in Montreal, Canada, was raised in a refined, upper–middle-class environment surrounded by art. He developed a strong calling for music, a passion he maintained throughout his life.
One morning in 1983, he made the surprising decision to leave his family and the routine of the business world. After a few months, he arrived on the island of Ibiza, in the Mediterranean, which he nicknamed “Eden”. There he began his true journey and adopted the new identity of Ra Uru Hu.
On the night of January 3, 1987, he experienced an encounter with the “Voice”. Frightened, he heard: “Are you ready to work?”. For eight days and eight nights, he intensely recorded the material that would give rise to the Human Design System. For him, it was a call to awaken that revealed the limits of prevailing concepts about existence, the cosmos, and the dynamics of the universe.
Convinced of his mission, he became the carrier of the Human Design System, dedicating his life to sharing the Science of Differentiation around the world. He settled in Ibiza, balancing teaching, music, gardening, and life with his wife, three children, and a grandson.
Ra Uru Hu passed away in Montreal, Québec, Canada, on March 12, 2011, at 5:40 a.m., shortly before turning 63.
Legacy: the transmission of the Human Design System as a practical pathway to self-knowledge and living one’s unique difference.
